Getting started
Creating your account
Sign in to Verentis for the first time and let Verentis create your account for you.
Your first visit to Verentis is short. You sign in, enter the name you want Verentis to use, and Verentis sets up your profile and account for you.
You do not need to create an account by hand. An account is created automatically the first time you sign in.
What is an identity provider?
An identity provider is the sign-in system that confirms who you are. Verentis uses one for sign-in. Learn more in OAuth and OIDC explained.
Before you start
You need one of these:
- Your organisation's Verentis web address. This opens the Account app, at an address like your organisation's account domain.
- An invitation link from someone in your organisation.
The Account app is the place where you manage your account, people, and workspaces.
First sign-in walkthrough
Open Verentis
Open your organisation's Verentis web address, or open the invitation link you received.
This takes you to Verentis in your browser.
Sign in with your provider
Select the sign-in option and complete the steps shown by your identity provider.
By default, Verentis uses Microsoft Entra External ID. This is a Microsoft sign-in service. Some workspaces connect their own provider.
You do not need to configure the provider during onboarding. You only sign in.
Enter your name
The first time you sign in, Verentis shows a welcome screen that says, "Let's start with your name."
Enter the name you would like to be called in Verentis.
Your name must be between 3 and 64 characters.
You can change your name later
You can update your name later in account settings.
Agree and continue
An invisible bot check runs automatically. This check uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help confirm that a real person is using the form.
When you select Next, you also agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy shown on the screen.
We get things ready
Verentis shows a short "Getting things ready" screen.
During this step, Verentis sets up your profile and creates your account.
You land on your dashboard
When setup is complete, Verentis opens your account Dashboard.
The Dashboard is the starting place for managing your account, people, and workspaces.
